The Somes-Meynell Wildlife Sanctuary provides a variety of school-based and field-based environmental educational programs for local students on Mount Desert Island. Programs are customized to teacher’s individual needs and curriculum goals, with particular emphasis on involving students in project-based, inquiry learning. Sample topics include:
